Facebook Tip: Scheduling and Previewing Posts

I am starting to set a regular weekly schedule of posts for my church. I hope this will help me speed up the process of creating posts, and also allow our followers to know what to expect. Our congregation seems to be most active on Facebook on weekday evenings, Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons. I try to post at these times, so our news is at the top of their “newsfeed” when they log-in.

Here is what I have so far:

  • Sunday Morning- Post one or two pictures “live” from Sunday morning classes and worship services using my iPhone
  • Monday Evening – Post an icebreaker question for discussion
  • Tuesday Evening- Open for news or announcements of upcoming event
  • Wednesday Evening- Open for news or announcements of upcoming events
  • Thursday Evening- Thankful Thursday post:
“We thank you, Lord, for all the blessings of this life.”
  • What are you thankful for today? Please feel free to tell us in the comments below!
  • Friday Evening – A TGIF and “Peace Be With You” post with the link to a funny cartoon.
  • Saturday Morning - A schedule of services and classes for the week. If I have time, I make a photo to post.

This is just a basic guide, and I make adjustments as the week goes on.
