Juan Ángel Monge
The Rev. Canon Juan Ángel Monge has been vicar of El Buen Pastor, Fajardo, Puerto Rico since 2007. At the same time, he also served as Canon for Christian Stewardship and Congregational Development for the Diocese of Puerto Rico. In this position, he led a team of lay and clergy persons in visiting and evaluating each congregation's performance noting strengths and areas for improvement. The team later offered workshops to address the needs of congregations on areas such as record keeping, sound financial procedures, and vestry responsibilities.
Since 2007, Canon Monge has also served as the director of Taller EpiscoGrafico, the diocesan print shop which makes and prints all promotional material, forms, books, record keeping registers, posters and more for congregations and the diocesan Episcopal Health Services that includes two hospitals as well as a homecare and Hospice system with various offices throughout the island of Puerto Rico.
Education: BA in Management, MBA in Human Resources, MDiv from the Seminario San Pedro y San Pablo of the Dioceses of Puerto Rico.
