This "Change Readiness Assessment" can be used in a variety of transition situations to support lay and clergy leaders during a time of transition.

The assessment consists of the following:

• A change-readiness scale
• A scoring sheet based on the seven traits of change-readiness
• A summary of possible results for understanding one's score

Congregations in a clergy transition can use this exercise in conjuction with the Resources for Clergy Transitions which has a variety of handouts, presentations, and checklists that cover the entire clergy transition process.
