Holy Week Challenge
The last few years we have had what we call the "Holy Week Challenge". About a week before Ash Wednesday we send out an email to all of the churches in the diocese to remind them about updating their websites with their Lenten information. To encourage this, we ask that each church send us a link to their Holy Week information on their website. Each day, beginning with Ash Wednesday, we feature one of the churches that have submitted a link on the diocesan homepage with a link to their Holy Week information. We also post this on the diocesan Facebook page as well as on Twitter. This is very easy to do with a web based CMS and social media scheduling programs like Hootsuite. It's a win/win situation. The church updates their content to be current and timely, and gets a posting on all of the diocesan media platforms.
