A covenant can be a powerful tool for helping a vestry or other leadership team to establish group expectations and accountability. By establishing shared norms and expectations after the new vestry convenes each year, a vestry can lay a foundation for effectively working together that can be referred to month after month.

This webinar will cover the differences between norms and covenants, establishing a theological basis for a covenant, and how a covenant functions in the life of a vestry or other leadership team. Participants will also review practices for establishing these norms, look at samples of vestry covenants that might be adapted for their own congregations, and have a discussion on potential next steps for creating their own vestry covenant.
