Rich Simpson

I serve as Canon to the Ordinary in the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts, which is just a fancy way of saying that I work for the Bishop. My job is to support clergy and congregations toward the larger goal of furthering God's Reign of mercy, compassion, and hope. Previously I served four years as an ecumenical campus minister and twenty years in parish and campus ministry settings, most recently as rector of St. Francis Church in Holden, Massachusetts.

My blog - Rich's Ruminations - is a place where I post sermons from my itinerant ministry across Worcester County - and where I try to "think out loud" about the Christian faith and life in the 21st century, a time when we face not only great challenges but also extraordinary opportunities. I have been married to Hathy for 28 years, and we've raised two amazing sons who are now 24 and 20.
