Holly Stoerker

Holly Stoerker is a member of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she serves as a lay reader and lay Eucharistic visitor and is in training for lay pastoral care. Although new to the Episcopal Church, Holly is from a long line of clergy and has always considered herself a “church person.” In her former UCC church she served as senior deacon, chaired the worship committee, led a Sacred Space Team, and taught Sunday School.

Holly holds a master's degree in public administration. After retiring from the job she loved as executive director of the Upper Mississippi River Basin Association, she now devotes her time to a variety of volunteer positions that are totally unrelated to her career in water resource policy and management. You can now find her as a classroom aide at a local elementary school, a mentor for a program that St. Johns and the YWCA sponsor to help transition families out of homelessness, and a greeter at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. She is drawn to the intersection of faith and the arts, where she finds both inspiration and sustenance.
