Joseph John

Joe John is senior warden for St. James Episcopal Church, Peewee Valley, Kentucky and also serves as a verger and assists with the altar guild.

A former 2nd vice president marketing for Monumental Life Insurance Company, he is now retired after 32 years in this industry. Prior to entering the insurance industry, Joe was a teacher, department chairperson, and wrestling coach, teaching middle and high school students in Delaware.

Joe's involvement in the community has included working with Volunteers of America, fundraising for the United Way (Baltimore and Louisville), Greater Louisville Fund for the Performing Arts, the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, and the Baltimore Marathon. He also served as a member of the board of directors for the Kentucky Humane Society, the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Sister Citiesof Louisville, president of the board of directors for Forth and Fitness, Every1Reads, (Jefferson County School District), serving as lead communications chair for the Oldham County Greenways Project, and serving on the board of directors for the Oldham County YMCA.
